Cva wolf v2 vs optima v2.
I have a new CVA Optima V2 stainless steel barrel. I currently have it zeroed at 100 yards with 80gr T7 loose powder with 295gr Powerbelt Aerotip. That leaves me 2.5" hight at 50. It's grouping consistently but I'm concerned about my muzzle velocity. Ballistic charts from power belt only go down to 100gr of powder.

Dec 17, 2018 · The break open latching on the Wolf is located on the front of the trigger guard. It tends to snag on things causing it to open while hunting. The Optima is on the back of the guard and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. I now own an Accura MR Nitride. It may possibly be the best hunting muzzleloader ever produced.

The CVA rifles are not real load picky and will shoot a variety of loads accurately. The Optima trigger is not adjustable but it is a very good trigger and breaks clean and smooth. Although when I talked to a CVA Technician about my Optima he stated it had a Bergara barrel.
